Delete your Supergroup account
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
You can delete your Supergroup account at any time, from the app or from the web. Deleting it is permanent: it can't be undone, and signing up again later starts a brand-new account.
In the app
On iPhone and Android:
- On the home screen, tap your profile photo at the top to open Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Confirm twice. You'll be signed out, and we'll email you to confirm the account is gone.
On the web
If you no longer have the app installed:
- Go to supergroup.chat/account and sign in with the phone number or email address you use for Supergroup.
- Open Security.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account and confirm.
By email
If you can't sign in anymore — say you've lost access to that phone number or email — write to support@supergroup.chat from an address we can match to your account, and we'll verify it's you and delete it for you within 30 days.
What we delete
When you delete your account, we remove, right away:
- Your name, profile photo, phone numbers, and email addresses
- The content of every message you sent, including photos, videos, and other attachments — they disappear for the other people in those conversations too
- Your reactions, poll votes, starred messages, read markers, and conversation settings
- Your block list and any feedback you gave on Supergroup's AI answers
- The records of your requests to Supergroup's AI, including what it was sent and what it answered
- Your sign-in sessions, notification tokens, and any connected calendar or app access
You also leave every conversation you were in, and the other members see that you've gone.
What we keep
- An empty account record — an internal ID with no name, photo, or contact details — so the conversations you were part of still make sense to the people left in them.
- Records of the sign-in codes we texted you. Phone carriers require proof that each text was requested, so we keep when it was sent and from which app, with a scrambled, one-way code in place of your number.
- Reports other people made about messages you sent, for as long as we need them for safety and moderation.
- Encrypted backups, which age out within 90 days.
- Anonymous, aggregated statistics — like how many people used Supergroup on a given day — that can't be traced back to you.
Messages other people sent stay in their conversations; they belong to the people who wrote them. For everything else about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
